After living in Japan and running a homewares business for four years, I developed a strong passion for all kinds of artisan crafts.

Five years later and now living in Melbourne, I wanted to combine my love for traditional crafts with my design and sewing skills, and so Tsukuru was born.

The inspiration for each collection comes from spending time in nature, travelling around Japan, rummaging through vintage stores and leafing through traditional art books.

I handmake each piece slowly and mindfully, using only sustainable and plant-based materials such as linen, cotton and plant-dyed embroidery threads.

I'm hoping these pieces resonate with you as much as I enjoy making them.
